Emerging Threats: AAP February Newsletter

This edition of the Emerging Threats Newsletter highlights ongoing progress within the Emerging Threats Partnership Project as teams collaborate with state and local partners to address congenital CMV, congenital syphilis, and perinatal hepatitis C.

The issue features updates on expanded congenital CMV surveillance supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, new clinical resources from the American Academy of Pediatrics on dengue care and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, and recent research on treatment gaps among pregnant patients with hepatitis C. It also shares information about the relaunch of the project’s collaboration hub and upcoming engagement activities to strengthen partnerships and outreach.
